Inside the House

June 17, 2010

Heather’s Blog – A friend recently had an operation so I’ve been cooking for three lately.  I made a delicious Szechuan Shrimp and Broccoli Stir Fry and thought I’d share the recipe.

Shrimp and Broccoli Stir Fry

  • 24 large, thawed, peeled, deveined shrimp
  • 1 head of broccoli, washed and cut into flowerets
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil (canola or peanut)
  • 1 can water chestnuts (sliced)
  • House of Tsang Szechuan Spicy Stir-Fry Sauce (available in Asian food section of supermarket)

Parboil broccoli in a large pot of boiling water for 1 ½ - 2 minutes until crispy-tender to taste.  Drain broccoli.

Saute shrimp in oil in skillet or wok until pink (about 1 ½ minutes per side).  Drain oil from pan.  Add broccoli and water chestnuts to pan and stir.  Add House of Tsang Szechuan Spicy  Stir-Fry Sauce to taste.
