I don’t know why, but I always experience stress before a room inspection.  At our building, there’s a triple whammy.  We have room inspection, kitchen inspection, and routine chore inspection all on the same day (third Wednesday of the month).  One could also have outside cleanup that day.  And, there could always be a snowstorm.  That’s the worst case scenario.

I’m not the best housekeeper in the world and I have a problem with clutter, which is a constant battle.

So for several hours and in some cases for several days I’m in high stress mode while cleaning is underway.  I’ve always hated to scrub the toilet, but I have to admit that it is gratifying when the floor is clean and the toilet and sink shine.

It’s nice, too, to have a crisply made bed and a tidy room.

The anxiety persists until I see if I’ve passed muster with the house manager.  That accomplished I can decompress.  Then it’s only four weeks until the next room inspection.  Aagh!!!
