Kara D. Beverly, JD, Johns Hopkins University
Kara D. Beverly is an Equity Compliance Investigator in Johns Hopkins University's Office of Institutional Equity, where she is responsible for investigating reports of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Ms. Beverly practiced at a regional Ohio law firm in their Labor & Employment and Corporate Practice Groups, advising clients on employee issues involving Title VII and the ADA. Ms. Beverly also worked as an in-house Staff Attorney for an international dining services company, where she handled all employment-related matters, including the investigation and resolution of discrimination and harassment claims. Ms. Beverly is committed to serving her community and is currently an Executive Board Member of the Psi Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and an Active Member of the Junior League of Baltimore. Ms. Beverly is a graduate of the Howard University School of Law and Villanova University.


Paul S. Edwards, The Shelter Group
Paul Edwards is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of affordable housing experience at The Shelter Group. In his current position as Project Finance Director, he is responsible for financially monitoring all projects from initial closing through post completion close-out. He serves as point person on all financial issues during project construction with lenders, equity partners, and state and federal financing agencies.

Paul graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Towson University. 


Nancy Hinds, The Maryland Zoo


Jennifer KeyserAlban Tractor Co. Inc.
Jennifer E. Keyser is the Associate General Counsel at Alban Tractor Co. Inc., where she handles Alban’s government contracting and employment matters. Before beginning at Alban, Ms. Keyser was with two Baltimore law firms, Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP and Gordon Feinblatt, LLC and concentrated on complex commercial matters, employment disputes, landlord-tenant law, and creditors’ rights. Ms. Keyser is also active with the Explorer’s Council for Post Discovery. She was an active member with the Women’s Initiative, Next Generation of the United Way of Central Maryland, and a past chair of the Young Lawyers Committee before leaving private practice for Alban. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law and Haverford College. 


Danielle Koch, HAVAS helia
Danielle Koch is a copywriter at HAVAS helia. She received her bachelor’s degree in English in 2009 and her master’s degree in writing for mass communication in 2011 from Towson University and has worked with other local non-profits on their outreach and communications efforts. She is the chair of the Fund Development sub-committee for Women’s Housing Coalition, which plans outreach and fundraising events throughout the year. 


Jessica Kuhn, Ellin & Tucker
Jessica is a manager in the Audit & Accounting Department at Ellin & Tucker with over 8 years of experience with non-profit accounting and servicing clients in other industries such as distributors, manufacturers, and employee benefit plans. Ms. Kuhn has a B.B.A in Accounting from Loyola University Maryland (formerly Loyola College) and an M.B.A from Loyola University Maryland, in addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). In addition to being a member of the board, she also serves on the finance committee for the Women’s Housing Coalition. She lives in Carroll County with her husband and baby girl.  


Kathleen Lechleiter, AIA, k.lechleiter ARCHITECT LLC
Kathleen M. Lechleiter is an experienced professional with over 29 years of practice as a registered architect and founder of k.lechleiter ARCHITECT LLC (k.lA), a certified MBE/DBE with the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) and a Women Owned Business (WBE) with the City of Baltimore.  Community development and collaboration are hallmarks of k.lA’s practice demonstrated by work throughout the City providing affordable housing for area non-profits and public housing and includes teaching in the Housing and Urban Design Studios at Morgan State University.  In addition, she is currently on the Fells Point Design Review Committee.

Kathleen has a Master of Architecture degree from University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts degree from North Dakota State University.


Dale R. McArdle, Catholic Charities, retired
Dale retired as the Director of Housing Services at Catholic Charities after 26 years of service. He was directly responsible for identifying development opportunities, securing financing for affordable multi-family senior housing projects, managing the construction of each project, and the property management of the entire portfolio.

In addition to the Woman’s Housing Coalition, his current community involvements include the Bon Secours Community Works Board, and he is the Chair of the Unity Properties Board, the hospital’s real estate entity. He has been a member of the board of the Maryland Affordable Housing Trust since 2002. Dale was elected to the WYPR Corporate Board in 2016. 

Dale earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration at The Ohio State University.


Krista M. North, Miles & Stockbridge P.C.
As Principal at Miles & Stockbridge P.C. in Baltimore, Krista represents clients in commercial real estate transactions, with a concentration in affordable housing and community development finance, including charter schools. Her national practice focuses on representing clients in transactions involving a variety of funding sources, including low-income housing tax credits and tax-exempt bonds as well as local, state and federal loans, subsidies and grants. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, Krista earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, also magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.


Nancy S. Rase, Nancy Rase Consulting Services, LLC
Principal, Nancy Rase Consulting Services, LLC. The business was created to provide consulting services to housing organizations and public agencies involved in the affordable housing industry. Ms. Rase focuses her consulting practice on assisting organizations, particularly nonprofits and public agencies, to become more structured, professional, and sustainable.

Nancy is a co-founder and the former President and CEO of Homes for America, Inc., and remains as an Emeritus Director of the organization.

Prior to HFA, Nancy was with the Maryland Community Development Administration where she served as the agency’s Deputy Director, Director of Housing Development Programs, and Director of Rehabilitation Programs. She also worked in local government as the Assistant Manager at the Housing Authority of the City of Hagerstown. 

Nancy currently is on the Boards of: Enterprise Homes, Inc., Gulf Coast Housing Partnership, Volunteers of America National Services, Anne Arundel Affordable Housing Coalition, Arundel Community Development Services, Inc., Chesapeake Neighbors, and Women’s Housing Coalition. She serves on the Development Review and Program Committees of Volunteers of America, the Investment and Asset Management Committee of the Housing Partnership Network, and the Loan Committees of the Housing Partnership Loan Fund and Housing Partnership Ventures.

She has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Baltimore.


Beth Ronnenburg, Berkshire Associates, Inc. 
As President of Berkshire Associates Inc., Beth Ronnenburg, SPHR, oversees all business interests and operations, including consulting, product development, marketing, and sales to ensure the delivery of high-caliber solutions to clients. With over 20 years of experience in the human resources field, Beth is a recognized industry compliance expert. She regularly presents at meetings and conferences including SHRM and the Industry Liaison Group (ILG). Beth holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from The Johns Hopkins University.  She currently serves as an active Board Member of BILG and National ILG, where she represents the Mid-Atlantic Region. In addition, Beth is a member of the United Way of Central Maryland Women’s Leadership Council – Tocqueville Society. 


Jeffrey Stern, Riverside Advisors, LLC
Jeffrey is Consultant & Sole Practitioner Member of Riverside Advisors LLC, providing consulting services in financing for affordable rental housing and charter schools, property, and loan portfolio analysis, and strategic planning for non-profit and for-profit organizations.
Riverside’s mission is to provide non-profit, public, and private developers and agencies working in the affordable housing and charter school industries with quality transactional, financial, policy, and programmatic analysis.

Jeffrey received his Master’s Degree in City/Urban, Community, and Regional Planning from Harvard University Graduate School of Design.


Dr. Linda Stone, Stevenson University
With more than 30 years of university level teaching experience, Linda Stone is currently on the faculty at Stevenson University in the Psychology Department. Her background in social work and counseling, led her to spend most of her career in academia, having taught in various universities over the past 32 years in such areas as family studies, women’s studies, and psychology. Dr. Stone received her bachelor’s degree in Human Communication from Douglass College of Rutgers University, her MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University, and her doctorate in Counseling from the College of William and Mary. She is a member of the National Council on Family Relations and is also a Certified Family Life Educator. She has served on the Women’s Housing Coalition Board of Directors since 1998 and has been board secretary since 2009. She has lived in the Baltimore area for 25 years, has been married for 40 years, and has 2 sons and a daughter-in-law who all live in Baltimore. 


Robin Wu, Chesapeake Community Advisors, Inc.
Robin Wu is a Project Manager at CCA with over 8 years of experience in the affordable housing industry. Her responsibilities in this role include preparing LIHTC applications, assisting with evaluating, negotiating, and closing LIHTC partnerships, as well as evaluating and closing debt, and creating and updating financial projections. 

Ms. Wu holds a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Economics and Finance. Prior to joining CCA, Ms. Wu served as a regional accounting manager for The Michael's Organization, where she oversaw all accounting activities for a portfolio of 24 affordable housing and mixed finance projects. She also serves on the board of directors for the Women’s Housing Coalition, a Baltimore based nonprofit that provides permanent supportive housing to homeless women and children.
